Video That Launched A Business

In 2011, Marie Kondo took the world by storm with her illustrated guide to the Japanese art of tidying. It was simply titled, “Spark Joy.” And after 30+ years in corporate marketing and strategy roles, I decided late in 2024 that I was ready for something new. I spent some time challenging myself to find what “sparked joy” in my own life. And since I didn’t think I could make a ton of money playing with my granddaughters or my English bulldog, I remembered a video that I’d posted on my Facebook page back in 2021. The video clearly depicts my sheer joy at completing a kitchen remodel project with drawer pulls installed in all of my lower cabinets. One of my oldest and dearest friends commented on the video saying, “This might be one of the most “you” things I’ve ever seen.” And she was right. Organizing spaces to be more efficient, and easier to access has always been a joy for me – and let’s face it, it’s just prettier and more pleasing to be around order and calm vs. chaos and clutter.

So, Fish Genius Home Organization was born from my desire to help others reduce clutter and find more stress-free living within their own homes. I’ve done projects over the years for friends and family, and now I’m ready to help you with your next home improvement project.
